HIV Programme

The Department of Social Welfare is funding an HIV programme in Uniondale South Africa.

UNIEP is distributing food hampers on a monthly basis to persons affected by HIV.

At least 50 hampers a month are handed to persons suffering from HIV/Aids. From January 2008 22 special hampers are provided to children affected and/or infected by HIV.

A workshop on HIV/Aids was held and and an educational drama about HIV was staged by members of the community.

Here is a group of children from Avontuur Primary School.  They are going to be taught about organic agriculture as part of the Avontuur Vegetable Garden project.  This opportunity was taken to present a puppet show about H.I.V.
