Youth Centres |

| UNIEP received funding from the
Department of Social Development for a youth programme in the whole of the
Uniondale DMA area. Youth centres exist in the areas of Uniondale, Avontuur, Haarlem, Kouga, Noll, Eensaamheid, Snyberg, Rooirivier and Vlakteplaas. Various activities take place at the youth centres such as Awareness sessions, Leadership workshops, Workshops to motivate entrepreneurial activities, Computer training and Life skills training. This includes rural areas such as Haarlem, Avontuur, Kouga, Kammanassie, Noll, Diepkloof, Snyberg, Rooirivier, Ongelegen. The Youth programme focuses on the development of skills, especially in the areas of leadership and peer educators, drama and music. Support groups must also be established, especially for youth at risk. The photo was taken at one of the several Youth Centre launches in the area.
